STORE POLICY & FAQ

  • Buying Preloved Jewellery
There would be something wrong if the item you received looked brand new - the expectation with antique and vintage jewellery is that there will be normal signs of wear commensurate with age eg. scuffs and pattina. Lovers of antique and vintage jewellery usually value these things for giving their piece history and character. I make every effort to clearly list any defects above usual wear, and to take clear photos that represent the item clearly but I do occassionally make mistakes. If you feel your piece has not met expectations please do get in touch with me so we can resolve the issue. Please note, that photos constitute part of the description and we ask you view them carefully before purchasing.
  • Care Instructions
Antique and vintage jewellery can be very delicate and it is vital that you research your pieces to understand their qualities and care needs. Opals, pearls and coral for example are very sensitive stones and need to be both worn and stored carefully. Never wear perfume with these pieces, and remove them before handling chemicals or cleaning products. Most antique and vintage jewellery just needs a gentle cleanse with a tiny bit of fairy liquid in some warm water. Use a soft childrens toothbrush if you need to get into any small areas. Use ultrasonic cleaners with the upmost care. Really I would avoid them unless you are 100% sure you know what you are doing. It is always best to remove all your jewellery when handling any chemicals (eg. cleaning) or when swimming/exercising.
  • My Promise
I try my absolute hardest to be as transparent & honest as possible but like anyone sometimes I make mistakes. Please feel free to get in touch before making a purchase to discuss an item - I can send extra photographs and talk to you about any concerns you may have.
  • Do you offer layaway?
I occasionally offer layaways on a case-by-case basis. The maximum term where I can offer a layaway is 4 weeks, with 25% down to secure the item and then the rest payable at you convenience within that 4-week period. The deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation. If you cancel after making subsequent payments these can only be used as store credit. Items will be dispatched via the usual means once payment is received in full, inc. shipping. Please note that layaway sales are final and cannot be returned.
  • Do your items come in boxes?
All of our items are shipped in gift packaging. If you would prefer to reduce waste and not to receive your item in gift packaging please add a note to your order. Please note any props or boxes seen in photos are not included unless expressly stated. If in doubt, get in touch before ordering.
  • Can your rings be resized?
Most rings can be resized (notable exception is eternity rings). Please get in touch with me to discuss your requirements. This service bears a fee and adds 1-2 weeks to delivery time. Just to note; my personal opinion is it is best to have your ring resized locally so that they can ensure they are correctly measuring your finger. Please note that rings either resized by me, or by you after delivery, are considered bespoke and cannot be returned.
  • What are your delivery charges?
Please visit our shipping & returns section.
  • Do you offer refunds?
Please visit our shipping & returns section.
  • Can I order an item directly to someone else, as a gift?"
Yes! As standard we pack our items as gifts in a small cardboard jewellery box, tied with black ribbon and lovingly cushioned in tissue paper. Your parcel will not contain an invoice, these are emailed to you directly. Please note; in the case of returning a gift I can only discuss refunds with the original purchaser.
  • Can you help me find a specific item?
Yes!!! I love going on litttle treasure hunts for my customers. Please get in touch with me to discuss what you are looking for. You can also let me know your general requests and I can either point you to another vintage/antique friend who might have something to interest you, or have a search myself.
  • I have a question you haven't answered...
Please get in touch with me! I love hearing from customers or just curious people. We can just have a chit chat about jewellery if you like.
